The realization of the Grottaminarda Station represents a very important work in the field of the infrastructural program implied by the project: "System of interchange area for a quality mobility in the Avellino Province" sent by the Assessor to the Campania Region's transports together with A.I.R. Autoservizi Irpini S.p.A. firm. Especially, the realization of the station is part of a more complex development framework of the transport sector in the Grottaminarda area: to this thing, the quoted development program for the movement on tires, is associated also to the next realization of a new railway, which, lengthwise the realization of a new rout, will allow the program of the high speed merchandise transport on the "Passageway VIII", Europe Infrastructure Plain. The station, from this point of view, undertakes a new significance in the transport's complex system, crossing from autonomous surface (terminal building of a whole of lines) to a bus interchange area, integrated to other types of transport (urban buses, railway etc.). The building of the new Grottaminarda Bus Station will have a soil surface, without the areas covered with bus-shelter, of 1.800 square meters. The reference height of the construction, identified with the standing zone of the buses (h.0.00) is settled at 435,00 meters on sea level. The building, of an approximate triangular form is characterized by 4 exterior levels. The maximum high of the building is 15,10 m from the reference. The infrastructure, with the purpose of serving to the diverse interchange functions for the traveller, is therefore organized in the following functional unities: -The zone: constituted from the passageways for the circulation of the vehicles, from the footpath for the persons, from the standing of the vehicles and from spaces for the boarding-descent of the travellers; -The travellers building: -Bus station for the boarding-descent of the passengers; -Parking lot for the buses; -Area for the passengers: ticket office, waiting room; -Area for A.IR. Personal; offices, area for the drivers; -Area with functions of direction and control; -External area for the connection of the travellers with the urban network; -Area for the commercial activities; -Area for parking private vehicles.
