The design road section, scope of this work, is part of the expressway S-8, which is a part of large North Bypass of Warsaw. This part of work, has a total length of 7,24 km and it is located in the region Mazowieckie, commune Radzymin and Marki.

The characteristic data of the designed expressway: - Road Class: S - Design Speed - Vp = 100 km / h - 2 roadway, 10,5m width (3 x 3,5m) each - Distance between the roadway: 5m. The design has been commissioned by the construction company Astaldi S.p.A. as a result of participation in the tender for the design and execution. The scope of design works conducted by IRP Biuro Projektów was to develop the Executive Design and Construction Supervision of all the following structures: - 9 structures along the expressway with lengths variable from 25 to 330 m - 1 Overpass with length of 54 m - 8 culverts for hydrological and ecological purposes. The structures have been designed considering different conditions for each object. Various technological solutions have been applied, as for instance the direct and indirect foundations and different kinds of abutments. The decks were also developed with application of different solutions: some decks were designed as prefabricated prestressed “T” beams, others as a frame
