The contract concernes the technical design, detail design and technical assistance on site during the execution phase for the construction of four road tunnels as part of the new S1 high-speed road in Poland. The engineering services are developed in favor of the JV which has been awarded the work of "Superstrada S1: Bielsko-Biała - wiywiec - Zwardo odcinek Przybędza-Milówka (obwodnica Węgierska Górka)" and it see the IRP involved with Polish and Ukrainian companies for the construction of a high-speed road lot of about 12 km. The design, started from November 2019, is ongoing; the construction works will last about three years. IRP, in detail, will have to deal with the integrated design of the four tunnels along the route, each of which has a length of about 1 km. This lot of the S1 (called before S69) highway, on the section Przybędza - Milówka (Węgierska Górka ring road), which starts from km 27+700 and finish at km 36+230, is the last lot to complete the Bielsko-Biała - Żywiec - Zwardoń highway (crossing Myto / Skalite border). This artery is located in the 4th corridor of the trans-European transport network that connects the countries of the Baltic Sea basin with the countries of southern Europe and runs on the priority axis TEN-T no. 25 "Gdańsk-Brno / Bratislava-Vienna road axis". The extension of the S1 highway to the south, outside Poland, is the Slovak D3 highway between Žilina and Skalite.
