Following the bid won in 2018, IRP, together with Promost Consulting S.r.l. was awarded another design tender about the feasibility study of the S-19, Babica - Domaradz expressway. This section represents about 23 km of the most ambitious project related to the construction of the high-speed road “Via Carpatia”.

The area interested by the investment goes through the municipalities of Czudec, Strzyżów, Niebylec and Brzozowski, as well as, of course, Babica and Domaradz, respectively the beginning and end sections of the road lot. This area is mainly composed of forest areas, small woods, agricultural land and is crossed by several larger and smaller waterways.

The starting section is represented by the end of the S-19 first lot and, in detail, from the Babica junction at km 21+650, where the road crosses the Wisłok river and the associated Natura 2000 area, running south. After the Wielkie Pole area, it comes the Strzyżów-nowarnowa road junction where the S-19 crosses the state road Nowarnowa - Niebylec. The MOP center is planned on both sides of the road in the Jawornik country. Continuing south, the highway crosses the national road n. 19 and enters the protected landscape area Hyżieńsko-Gwoźnicki. Once in the vicinity of the city of Domaradz, the project route crosses the Domaradz - Przysietnica state road, and further south, it intersects with road no. 886. Here, therefore, the intersection of Domaradz is planned where the route ends.

- design speed - 100 km / h;

- maximum speed - 110 km / h;

- number of lanes - 2 x 2;

- lane width - 3.50 m.

 

Engineering objects:

According to the current state of progress of the design works (10.2018), the following is expected:

- 3 or 2 road tunnels (activities are carried out to optimize the S19 route and reduce the number of tunnels)

- 11 overpass;

- 1 bridge;

- 7 viaducts;

- 2 road junctions;

- 7 minor passages;

- Minor works of various kinds.
