The overall target of the project is to increase the economic efficiency of the Romanian transport network and make improvements in terms of travel speed between Comarnic and Predeal, by decongesting the traffic on the existing route (DN1), thus improving connectivity at the regional level.

The project concerns, in detail, the construction of a pedestrian crossing in the center of Comarnic that avoids the congestion of the DN1 National Road near the Central Square and the Ghioroc Road. 

The project will be carried out by the JV Metroul S.A. - Italrom Inginerie Internationala S.r.l. which, together with three other similar projects in the localities of Sinaia and Predeal, confirms the positive trend with CNAIR S.A. 

The design will be finalized in the 2021.
